Before meeting with Bob Henz, we briefly discussed our questions about aspects of the project description. In the meeting, we nailed down our project requirements and chose between two potential directions for the project. Rather than sending a key via light and using it to decrypt SMS, we decided to send messages via the flashlight using Morse Code. We agreed on this because it seemed more manageable in a semester long project. We decided that we will primarily aim to develop this app for iPhones, but hopefully implement it for Android as well. Because we hope to make this cross-platform, we all downloaded Xamarin, a development tool which allows us to write only one set of code in C#. None of us have used C# in the past and hope it will be a learning experience. We had a second team meeting where we worked on writing our project requirements on the website. By the next team meeting, we all have agreed to write a simple Hello World program to get started with C#, and investigate how we can use the camera in Xamarin.
