This week we had two very long and frustrating team meetings, trying to get the image processing working to recognize light. In the same vein of Pirates of the Caribbean, it seems that this documentation for Xamarin "can only be found by those who already know where it is." Despite tireless googling, we were not able to find helpful tutorials to access each frame from the camera feed, let alone to actually recognize the light from them. Thus, Ethan made significant progress which led to a drastic decision: We are rewriting the app in Swift, which has much better documentation and help available to accomplish the desired task. This is working almost completely, and my focus for the course of the next week or two will be to rewrite it in Java for Android, which I feel more comfortable with anyway. If only we had decided this to begin with, our lives would have been simpler. But in the end we may end up with a multi-platform app where before we were struggling to get it working for just one platform.

All in all, it is a happy day form Team 11!
